An Ode to Kitties

I love cats. Sure I love rabbits and bears too, but cats are my favorite as I've never had a pet bunny or bear. Kitties have inspired a few of my illustrations, whether it's their physical characteristics or their actual antics and personalities. Here are a few of my designs inspired by my feline friends.

Gray Tabbies appear frequently in my art as I've owned 3. My first, Pussy Cat (I know boring name - what can I say- accept I was a kid) was an elegant silver gray persian. My 2nd, Gracie was the cat that comforted me during my teen years. Walked me to the bus stop and met me at the bus stop for the walk home. My 3rd, Smokie, is a big mush that loves to eat. He always reminds me to take a lunch break.

This one's inspired by Bok Choy. I tried to capture her absolute adorableness and brilliant turquoise blue eyes.

I never had an all black cat but I once knew a sweetie named Midnight Baby. I did have a black and white, named Panda Bear who was extremely smart but a bit aloof.

As you can see cats are a favorite subject of mine. PURRfect for every season whether alone or with other animal friends.

1 Year Zazzle Anniversary Salebration

About a year ago, June 2010 I opened my Zazzle Shop DeloshDesigns* because I thought it would be fun to see what my illustrations looked like on T-shirts, mugs and a whole array of nifty items. An exercise in self- art licensing if you will. To celebrate my 1 year anniversary at Zazzle I've temporarily lowered my royalty rate. From now until July 31st all items in my store will be 5% less than usual. My sale starts at a rather fortuitous time as I've just heard from Zazzle that they will be raising their prices on all items made with cotton on June 30th, this thursday. Remember you can still take advantage of any of Zazzles special promotional sales and discounts to really get more for your bucks.

Tu B'shvat anyone?
